Payment
Full pre-payment of anaesthetic fees are required at least 7 days prior to the procedure. Our anaesthetic office will reach out to ensure that this has been complete.
Pre-Admission
Appointment Confirmation: Patients are contacted to confirm their medical history. Pre-Operative Instructions: Detailed instructions are provided, including fasting requirements and what to bring on the day.
Day of Admission
Arrival: Patients arrive at their scheduled time and check in at reception. Verification: Staff verify patient details, consent forms, and medical history. Pre-Procedure Preparation: Patients are guided to the pre-op area, where the anaesthetic team will meet with them and issue a theatre gown.
Procedure
Patients are than escorted to the operating theatre. From here General Anaesthesia or IV Sedation is administered by a specialist anaesthetist who will monitor the patient throughout the full procedure
Post-Operative Care
After the procedure, patients are moved to PACU 1 for close monitoring during initial recovery. Once stable, they are transferred to PACU 2 for further observations and preparation for discharge.
Discharge
Patients receive post-op instructions, contact numbers and follow-up appointments. A responsible adult must be present to escort the patient home and stay overnight.
